The Social Comminication Questionnaire helps evaluate communication skills and social functioning in children who may have autism or autistic spectrum disorder. In less than 10 minutes the parent or primary caregivers identify individuals who may have autism and should be referred for a complete diagnostic evaluation.

In addition to screening, Social Communication Questionnaire can also be used to compare symptom levels across various groups. For example children with developmental language disorders, or medical conditions typically associated with autistic spectrum disorders.
