Let's Think! Early Years
Author(s): Anne Robertson
Suitable For:Teachers of pre-school children
Age Range:4 - 5 years

Children learn that there are different views and approaches to problem solving and that people's responses to situations differ depending upon their individual views. The programme directly helps children to develop in five key areas that underpin all the UK early years curricula:
Let's Think! Early Years offers children the opportunity to communicate thoughts and ideas, and to understand the perceptions of others.
It provides a learning experience which is fun and appealing to the child. Above all, Let's Think! Early Years can form the basis for greater co-operation and understanding across all areas of learning.
Let's Think has been successfully used in schools and the following is a review from Anita Backhouse, Teaching and Learning Consultant, School Improvement Service, East Riding of Yorkshire. "We have had an authority wide commitment to developing cognitive acceleration since the mid 90's starting with KS3 and now across the board from the Foundation Stage upwards. We realized the benefits that Let's Think offered our pupils in terms of developing their confidence in speaking and listening and in terms of their desire to have their thinking challenged. We consider this to have been a great pay-back for the time, effort and funding we have invested."
