Group Reading Test (GRT 6-14) measures how pupils are performing compared to their peer group throughout the UK and. It also helps monitor pupils’ overall literacy development in terms of National Literacy Strategy. GRT has been developed for use as a short screening/monitoring test for groups of children.
GRT Digital features the sentence completion tests (Forms A to D) that form part of the best-selling paper edition but with all the advantages of instant scoring and reporting.
Forms A and B are timed at 30 minutes but students who complete the test will be able to exit the test after 20 minutes have elapsed.
Forms C and D are timed at 20 minutes and therefore are shorter than the equivalent paper tests.
An equating study was completed in Spring 2007 that compared results on paper and digital tests for children across the age range of the test. Results showed that the digital versions are equivalent to the paper tests in terms of students’ scores. GRT2 Digital report includes:
